Reflecting on 2025

Reflecting on 2025 at the Anchor Inn

As 2025 comes to a close, we’ve taken a moment to look back on the year—and what a year it has been. We’re so grateful for everyone who stayed with us this year. You kept us busy in the best way, and we hope your time at the Anchor Inn was memorable. We’d love to have you back again soon.

Improvements Around the Inn

We’re always working to make the Anchor Inn more comfortable, safe, and inviting. Here are a few of the updates we made this year:

  • New carpet in all six first‑floor rooms
  • Improved outdoor lighting around the property
  • Safety strips added to all stairways

These upgrades help keep the Inn cozy and inviting for everyone who stays with us.

Meet Mango, Our Newest “Staff Member”

One of the sweetest surprises of the year has been the arrival of Mango—a beautiful orange kitty who decided the Anchor Inn was the place to be. He splits his time between us and a neighbor a few streets over, and we’ve happily taken on shared cat‑parenting duties. Mango is friendly, loves attention, and has already become a guest favorite.

On a Personal Note

In early December, Liz finally underwent knee replacement surgery—a long‑awaited step toward better mobility and comfort. She’s been working hard on her recovery and is looking forward to getting fully back to normal.

Thank you for being part of our year. Whether you visited us once or came back many times, you helped make 2025 truly special. We wish you a wonderful holiday season and a safe, prosperous New Year. We’re excited to welcome familiar faces and new friends in the year ahead.
