Surf Town & Watersports

There are no less than eight fishing charters, whose services range from deep sea, shallow flats, freshwater or just observing the bottle nose dolphins and West Indian manatees in their natural habitat. New Smyrna Beach offers a night kayak in Mosquito Lagoon where the water glows with the movement of the paddle. The light is produced when movement disturbs living organisms in the water producing a phenomenon known as bioluminescence. This adventure needs to be added to everyone’s bucket list. The trip would not be complete without stopping by the Marine Discovery Center whose master guides lead eco-tours on pontoons or kayaks through the backwater lagoons.
